Steak Lettuce Wrap Salad

My mom found this recipe in her Kroger magazine a few years back and it has become a favorite summertime salad! We edited it slightly to our taste:

Prep Time: 30 min

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Serves 4-6 people

For Steak:

  • 1-2 TBSP Chili Garlic Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce

  • 1 TBSP Red Wine Vinegar

Mix marinade ingredients together in large shallow bowl. Add steak to marinade for 30 minutes. Grill steak over medium heat for about 10 minutes per side until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 145 degrees F. Remove steak from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips or pieces.

If you don’t have a grill, you can prepare the steak in the oven. See directions HERE.

For Lettuce Wraps:

  • Large lettuce leaves (butter, bibb, or iceberg) hand torn into bite sized pieves

  • Handful of radishes thinly sliced

  • 2 avocados, peeled and thinly sliced

  • Extra toppings: Cilantro Leaves, Salsa, Hot Sauce, Lime Wedges

  • Optional: warmed tortilla to serve in

Serve steak and toppings over the lettuce. Top with salsa and/or hot sauce as dressing.
